Preparing taxes since 1938

How it works

Crowley and Sons’ “Virtual Visit” brings our long-standing mail-in program into the 21st century using Zoom. It’s simple, convenient, and designed with you in mind.

While we love meeting with our clients in person, we understand that some of you live far away, making the trip challenging. For those who want to take advantage of the “Virtual Visit,” you can still choose to meet us in person for certain stages, such as the “drop-off” (submitting your paperwork) or “pick-up” (signing and collecting your returns) phases. If you prefer to avoid coming to the office entirely, we can schedule a Zoom meeting once we receive your documents.

1.

Submit Your Documents

Mail, email, fax, scan, text, or set up a Zoom/video chat to send all necessary tax paperwork, including W-2s, 1099s, interest statements, dividends, retirement income statements, mortgage statements, real estate taxes, tuition statements, stock trades, and any other relevant forms. Send your documents to:

2.

Provide Dependent Information

Include the dates of birth for all dependents, including those of yourself and your spouse.

3.

Provide Last Year’s Tax Return

Include a copy of your most recent tax return.

4.

Bank Information for Direct Deposit

Enclose your bank’s routing number and account number for direct deposit of your refund.

5.

ID for New York State Tax Clients

For clients filing a New York State tax return, please include a copy of your driver’s license or state-issued ID.

6.

Review & Consultation

Once we receive your package, we will contact you within 24 hours to review your tax return, discuss any deductions or credits, and ensure everything is accurate. If you’ve opted for a Zoom meeting, we’ll schedule it at your convenience. Please note, we cannot complete your taxes until we have spoken to you, reviewed your return, and confirmed all details.

7.

Cost & Payment*

After our consultation, we’ll inform you of the cost of our service, and you can forward a check to the appropriate office.

*Please note that there is a consultation fee of $100 if you decide to not have us file your taxes after consultation. If you later decide that you do want us to file your taxes, the $100 will go towards the total fee of our service.

8.

Final Review & Filing

Once everything is complete, we’ll contact you again with the final numbers and have you sign the necessary forms to file your return with the IRS. You can either visit our office or use our electronic signature program. Finally, you’ll receive a copy of your return—either by email, mail, or in-person pickup.
